How do you set up an AI agent to trade tokenized stocks? a five-minute guide

Install a terminal agent, paste one prompt, fund a wallet with USDC. Your agent can then buy and sell 2,000+ tokenized stocks.

Everything your AI agent needs to trade real stocks onchain. This guide gets you set up in under five minutes.

First, You'll need a Terminal Agent instead of a chatbot

Treasures works through terminal agents. AI coding assistants that run in your terminal or IDE and can execute commands, call APIs, and manage files on your behalf.

You need one of these installed. Here's the match:

Once your agent is installed and running, the rest of this setup is a single prompt.

Step 1: Install your agent

Pick one from the table above and get it running in your terminal.

Step 2: Install the Treasures skills and create your wallet

Open your terminal agent and send it this prompt. Copy and paste it exactly:


Install the Treasures Finance skills via npx skills add treasures-io/treasures-finance-agent-skills, then create a new Treasures wallet for me and send me the sign-up link to complete it.

Your agent will:

  1. Run npx skills add to pull down the Treasures skill set
  2. Call the Treasures API to initialize your wallet
  3. Return a sign-up link


Click the link, log in, and approve trading in your browser.

Step 3: Fund your wallet

Your Treasures wallet has two addresses: one on Solana, one on Ethereum. Send USDC to either (or both) to fund your trading balance.You'll also need a small amount of native gas:

  • SOL for Solana transactions (0.02 SOL recommended)
  • ETH for Ethereum approvals (0.01 ETH recommended)

Step 4: Ask your agent for a stock pick

Ask your agent:

From the Treasures stock list, recommend me a stock to consider buying.

Then:

Find me the best routes to buy it.

Once you're happy with the route, tell it to execute:
Buy $10 of that stock. Once done, show me my portfolio holdings.

Your agent will browse nearly 500 available tickers and return a pick with its reasoning. What you do next is up to you.
